Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how AI Rap Duo ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and deletes personal information when you use our website at https://airapduo.app and the AI Rap Duo video generator (the "Services").

AI Rap Duo turns photos into a short AI rap video. Because the service works with pictures of real faces, we treat your photos with extra care. The short version:

Your photos are used only to generate your own videos. They are never made public, sold, or used to train our own models.
Your videos are private by default. Only you can see them in your account unless you download and share them yourself.
You can ask us to delete your photos and videos at any time by emailing support@airapduo.app. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Photo Rules

You may only upload photos of yourself, or of people who have given you their clear permission to use their photo on AI Rap Duo. You must not upload photos of celebrities or other public figures, photos of minors, or photos used to impersonate, defraud, harass or sexualize anyone. The full rules are in our Terms of Service. We may remove uploads and videos that break these rules.

Information We Collect

Account Information

Sign-in details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture as provided by Google
Support messages: anything you send us when you contact support
Payment information: purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive a record of the purchase (plan, status, customer ID), but we never see or store your full card number

Photos and Videos

Photos you upload: either two single-person photos or one photo of two people. Before upload, your browser may resize and compress the photo
Your choices: the stage style you select (for example Orange Booth, Studio Booth, Street Cypher or Luxury Lobby) and the output quality
Generated videos: the roughly 12-second, 9:16 vertical videos created for you, including the AI-generated lyrics and backing track, and related records such as creation time and status

Usage and Device Information

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate country and time zone
Usage data: pages visited, buttons clicked, generations started, completed or failed, and downloads
Session recordings: on our production website, our analytics provider PostHog may record how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and page changes) so we can find and fix problems. We do not use these recordings for advertising
Cookies and a device identifier: see our Cookie Policy. When you sign in or sign up, we compute a device identifier in your browser to prevent abuse of free credits

How We Use Your Information

To generate your videos: sending your photos and chosen style to our AI video provider, storing the result and showing it in your account
To run your account: signing you in, keeping your credits balance, refunding credits when a generation fails, and processing payments
To prevent abuse: detecting multiple accounts created to collect free credits, fraud, and uploads that break our photo rules
To improve the product: understanding which pages and features work, and fixing errors. We use aggregated usage data for this, not your photos
To contact you: sign-in links, receipts, service notices and replies to your support requests

We do not use your photos or videos to train our own AI models, and we do not use them in our marketing without your written permission.

AI Processing

Videos are generated by the ByteDance Seedance 2.0 model, which we access through a third-party AI API provider (APIMart). To create a video, we send your photos, the selected stage style and generation settings to that provider. The provider processes this information to return your video and is not permitted by us to use it for any other purpose on our behalf. The lyrics and backing track are generated by AI; you do not write or upload lyrics.

AI output is synthetic. Faces, voices and movements in the video are generated and may not look or sound exactly like the people in your photos.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Photos and videos: stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage
Account and generation records: stored in our database
Hosting: the website runs on Cloudflare

These providers may process data in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. We rely on the safeguards offered by our providers for these transfers.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run AI Rap Duo:

AI video generation: APIMart (the API provider through which we access ByteDance Seedance 2.0)
Storage, hosting and email delivery: Cloudflare (R2 storage, Workers hosting, Cloudflare Email)
Sign-in: Google, if you choose Google sign-in; email sign-in links are handled by our own authentication system (Better Auth)
Payments: Stripe
Product analytics and session recordings: PostHog

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal requests, to protect the safety of any person, or to investigate misuse of the Services, such as a report that a video uses someone's photo without permission.

Data Retention

Photos and videos: kept in your account so you can view and download your videos, until you delete your account or ask us to delete them
Account data: kept while your account is active
Payment records: kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes
Usage and analytics data: kept for up to 24 months

Deleting Your Photos and Videos

You can request deletion of your uploaded photos, your generated videos, or your whole account by emailing support@airapduo.app from the email address on your account. We will complete the deletion within 30 days and confirm by email. You can also delete your account from your account settings. Copies that you have already downloaded or shared outside AI Rap Duo are outside our control.

If someone has uploaded your photo without your permission, email us with a description of the video and we will investigate and remove it.

Data Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, keep uploaded photos and videos in private storage, and limit access to the people who need it to run the service. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@airapduo.app. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
